Position Description
- Must pass a drug test and a background check.
- Typical start time is 5:00 AM, however hours vary as requested by the owner or general contractor of each work site.
- Primary duty is to assist with the installation of cabinets and trim by working with a carpenter or working independently with supervision.
- Must be able to read a tape measure and be familiar with the use and care of power and hand tools that are required in a cabinet shop.
- May be required to work with other carpenters or helpers on projects and be able to oversee the quality and keep the others productive while on that project.
- Position requires ability to work with lumber, veneer, and sheet goods as well as plastic laminate.
- Will also assist in keeping the work area clean and installing hardware and making final adjustments to doors and drawers as well as final cleaning and detailing of cabinets.
- Requires some heavy lifting.
- Requires wearing a hard hat and safety glasses that will be provided to you by Contemporary Cabinets.
Experience
- Some cabinet installation experience or completion of a vo-tech or trade school is required.
